The nation’s original cyclocross night race and the west coast’s UCI season opener just unlocked its gate to registration.  With a beer tent, DJ, spectator-friendly course design, Seattle scenery and the possibility of early season mud, it’s one of the must-attend ‘cross races and parties. Will this year be the year you make the trip?

Promoter Terry Buchanan told Cyclocross Magazine that he’s even willing to help coordinate host housing for those that make the long trip and are on a tight budget.

Last year a surprise rain storm gifted racers prime cyclocross conditions at the Marymoor Velodrome in Redmond, Washington, and the result was two surprise winners in Sue Butler and Jeremy Powers at the NACT series opener.

With the tight night course, field sizes are capped and many fill up quickly. Registration is on Bike Reg.

For those that make the trip, there’s two days of intense racing available. The Rad Racing GP, the second stop of the NACT series is the following day and features the infamous 80-meter long Knapp Time Run-Up.
