The GVA Trophy series continues this Saturday in the town of Essen for stop number four. After three stops in Oudenaarde, Ronse and Hasselt, the race goes to the Northern Belgian town of Essen. Sven Nys (Landbowkrediet) won the Elite race and Lars Van Der Haar (Rabobank) won the U23 race in 2010. Essen is the homebase for Tom Meeusen (Telenet Fidea) and World Champion Zdenek Stybar (Quick Step).

Kevin Pauwels (Sunweb-Revor) is the current leader in the series on points ahead of Stybar and Nys. Niels Albert (BKCP-Powerplus) will be making his return after missing the last few weeks of racing due to a wrist injury sustained in a car collision.

Sanne Van Paassen (Brainwash Wielerploeg) leads the series ahead of Helen Wyman (Kona) and Nikki Harris (VZW Young Telenet Fidea). World Champion Marianne Vos (Nederland Bloeit) will be in Essen as well.
