Nutty Cross returns for its fourth round of orchard chaos at Ruhstaller’s farm and brewery in Dixon, CA, on November 23rd! Perfectly perched between Norcal’s Bay Area and Sacramento, it’s the grand finale for both the Bay Area Super Prestige series and the Cyclocircus series.

Set against the backdrop of Ruhstaller’s working walnut orchard and brewery, the course twists through the trees and serves up more than just racing: a live band, a DJ tucked among the rows, a kids’ race, and the infamous four-person beer relay (yes, there’s a non-alcoholic option). Whatever the weather—mud, rain, or dust—it’s a day of bike play that always delivers. Mother Nature has been delivering #truecrossconditions, but there’s sun in the forecast for this week!

Nutty Cross has a vibe all its own. It’s not just another race; it’s a celebration that helped rekindle one ex-pro’s love of riding. Show up, and you’ll feel it too. The mix of grit, laughter, and orchard magic is hard to resist:

Got a mountain bike, gravel bike, hybrid or road bike that takes wider tires? Here’s your chance to try off-road racing, for free, in a casual, inclusive, and fun environment, regardless of how your bike identifies. Email [email protected] with your name, birthday, race category (one of the “C” races), and why you’re diving into cyclocross. You’ll earn a free entry to the C race of your choice.

Seasoned racers, bring your friends! If they’ve got a gravel bike or mountain bike that’s never tasted mud, or never sipped the Ruhstaller brews, this is the perfect gateway. Nutty Cross proves you don’t need a whole weekend or a pile of cash to enter a gravel bike event. Bring anything with two wheels and a willingness to get a little dirty and smile while racing #shorttrackgravel.

Not a first-timer but need a reason to pre-reg? You’ve got an 8% chance of racing for free, as promoter Chris is making every 13th registration free!

Spectators aren’t left out either. With the brewery right on course, you’ll have a front-row seat to the action. Last year, two young riders stole the show (and went viral) as they clawed their way up a slippery hill, cheered on by family and friends:
