Despite the presence of a much-anticipated Elite Women’s race and the chance to see the best cyclocross racer in the world right now, the 2019 Dutch Cyclocross National Championships in Huijbergen were not televised on Sunday.

Even with the cameras off, Lucinda Brand and Mathieu van der Poel continued to roll as the calendar moves toward the World Championships.

Brand won her second-straight Dutch Nationals in her first race since winning at Bredene. She has now won 6 of the 12 races she has entered this year, including 4 of her last 5.

Mathieu van der Poel won the Elite Men’s race to capture his fifth-straight Dutch National Championship. He has now won the race eight straight years dating back to his days as a Junior and U23 racer.

Although the race was not broadcast, photographer Bart Hazen was in Huijbergen for a live look at the race on a course that featured a healthy amount of sand and a rather steep run-up. Head to the Netherlands with this photo gallery from Hazen.
