Sunday’s untelevised Elite Women’s race at the Dutch National Championships was perhaps the most anticipated of all the Nationals races held this weekend. With three World Cup winners and a Euro champ, the race also served as a possible preview of what is to come at the World Championships in three weekends.
Lucinda Brand (Team Sunweb) continued her impressive late-season run with her second straight Nationals win. Marianne Vos (WaowDeals Pro Cycling) took second and Maud Kaptheijns (Roompot – Charles) finished third.
