Road season is over, but on a fast KMC Cross Fest course with a finish on an actual race track, Emma White’s (Cannondale p/b Cyclocrossworld.com) summer tarmac training paid off on Sunday. White escaped another afternoon of group racing along with Maghalie Rochette (Clif Pro Team) and then dispatched her Canadian counterpart to take a solo win in Sunday’s C2.
Friday’s winner Kaitie Keough (Cannondale p/b Cyclocrossworld.com) overcame an earlier mechanical and battled back to take third.

With the win, White will retain the US Cup-CX overall leader’s jersey heading into next Saturday’s Charm City race in Baltimore, although the trio of White, Rochette and Keough are all tied at 135 points in the series standings.
C1 races give 75 points to the winner, C2 races 70 and points decrease more or less in increments of 5. See uscup.net for more on series scoring.
