Ben Gomez-Villafane (TopClub Cyclocross) took home a hard-fought third-place finish in the Junior Men’s race at the KMC Cross Fest on Friday, and on Sunday, he improved his podium position by outsprinting Alex Morton (Cannondale p/b Cyclocrossworld.com) for the win.

After a day of racing in big groups on Friday, Gomez-Villafane and Morton escaped off the front and raced wheel-to-wheel into the finish. Gomez-Villafane eked out a win in the finishing sprint.

Calder Wood (Rad Racing NW) followed up his win on Friday with a third-place finish on Sunday. Dylan Kerr (Angry Johnny’s Evolution) and Lane Maher (Hot Tubes Development Cycling) rounded out the top five.
