The KMC Cross Fest is held at Connecticut’s Thomson Speedway, home to NASCAR racing and the oldest asphalt high-banked oval track in America.
On Friday night, the racing format changed, and cyclocross fans were captivated by a drag race.

Kaitie Keough (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) continued her impressive season, and without World Champ Sanne Cant or Worlds bronze medalist Katerina Nash to get in her way, the American sprinted her way to take the early lead in the US Cup.
Maghalie Rochette (Clif Bar) took second, with U23 World Cup leader Emma White (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) in third.
