MALMEDY, Belgium—Helen Wyman (Kona Factory Team) clawed her way back to overtake fellow Brit Nikki Harris (Young Telenet-Fidea) in the final meters of round five of the 2015 Superprestige series held on the world-class Formula One racetrack Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps—this is Wyman’s second win of the season, as she took the top step of the podium at Flandriencross two weeks ago.

Harris had an early lead but Wyman and Dutch rider Saanne van Passen (Boels-Dolmans) emerged from the chasers to close the gap in the latter half of the race.

Harris held on for second with Van Passen taking the final podium position. Luxembourg rider Christine Majerus (Boels-Dolmans) finished 48 seconds behind Wyman to take the fourth position. Yesterday’s Zilvermeercross winner Jolien Verschueren (Young Telenet-Fidea) claimed fifth place, moving to the top of the rankings in the series with 64 points.

The sole American in the field, SRAM-Strava’s Elle Anderson had a terrific day, finishing sixth.

Not starting, due to a rib injury—Sanne Cant now trails Verschueren by four points, with Wyman close behind with 56 points in third place going into round six.
