After getting their pre-Christmas racing in on Saturday in Sint-Niklaas, on Tuesday it was off to the Zolder World Cup on Boxing Day for a large contingent of Junior and U23 Men from the U.S. and Canada. Before the Elites hit the motor speedway at Circuit Zolder, the young North American riders got one more chance to race during their trip to Europe.

The U.S. contingent was again led by Gage Hecht (Alpha Bicycle – Groove Subaru) in the U23 race and Lane Maher (Hot Tubes Devo) in the Junior race. Hecht finished 14th and Maher 17th.

In the U23 race, the other U.S. U23 rider Cooper Willsey (Cannondale p/b Cyclocrossworld.com) finished 29th. There were also a number of Canadians at Zolder. Trevor O’Donnell (Lakeside Storage Cyclocross) took 39th, Brody Sanderson (Centurion Nextwave Cycling) 43rd and Nicholas Diniz (NCCG Elite p/b MGCC) 50th.
