There was no defending champion in the U23 Women’s race at the 2018 Cyclocross World Championships in Valkenburg-Limburg with Annemarie Worst (The Netherlands) aged up to the Elite field, but there was a past champion who entered as the odds-on favorite.

Evie Richards (Great Britain) won the first U23 Women’s world championship in 2016 and was expected by most to win after her win in the Elite field at the 2017 Namur World Cup.

Find out if Richards was able to fulfill her favorite status in the race replay below. You can also get the story of the race in our race report.
