Last week, the Rouge Roubaix attracted cyclists all over the country, including Elite cyclocross racer Meredith Miller, who placed third, and big frame builders such as Argonaut, Breadwinner Cycles and Mosaic Bespoke Builders. You can find the full results of the race, as well as a create video by Argonaut capturing the ambiance of the ride.

In the last few days, riders have been busy editing footage of the race from their bike mounted cameras, including one posted on YouTube by Lars Finanger, who captured the lead changes and front pack racing for the first half of the race, and then the thrill of trying to latch back on to the leaders by way of a chasing group. Needless to say, while the rider finished the race, the chasing group’s attempt to latch back on to the leaders came to an abrupt, unfortunate end.

The video captures the brutal climbs that force riders to dismount, the potholes that linger at the apex of the corners, and the natural charm of the deep South, including livestock in the road.
