Located in Utah, the Ogden CX Park is a brand new cyclocross course that was remodeled into a park from being a landfill only years ago. The park’s opening, partnered by TRP, kicks off with a race that is set to draw some of the big names in cyclocross on Sunday after a week filled with racing, including CrossVegas on Wednesday and CrossReno on Saturday.

Elite riders will race for a share of a $10,000 prize purse with equal payout for men and women. Already the confirmed riders include Jamey Driscoll and Jonathan Page, with the potential for a few surprises. Amateur racers will also compete for great prizes from local bicycle companies and bike shops.

Below is some of the details from Ogden CX:

COURSE: Fast course with grass, dirt, sand, barriers, obstacles, run-ups and fun.

CATEGORIES: This is a USA Cycling sanctioned race. Riders will compete in the categories according to USA Cycling rules. One Day Licenses will race any category 5 for Mens and any category 4 for womens.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Helmets are mandatory while riding the course. Mountain bikes and Cyclo cross only. All USAC equipment regulations for Cyclocross apply. Call ups will be based on USAC points first. Then UCA points. Then random number call ups based on last digit of bib #.
