Jeremy has had some unfinished business with the US Cyclocross National Championships throughout his career. He’s been as close as you can get without taking the win. Last year’s heartbreaking ride in Bend, Oregon, added particular fuel to Jeremy’s fire when he and Behind THE Barriers headed to Madison, Wisconsin, for the 2012 Cyclocross National Championships. For the first time, Nationals was in January, meaning that the temperatures were colder and the suspense was even greater. Jeremy does everything he can to make sure the week leading up to Nationals is as normal and stress free as possible. The day before the race, it’s time for some motor pacing with teammate Chris Jones to get loose and open for Sunday. Once that’s out of the way, it’s back to the hotel to get everything ready for the big day. The following morning, it’s off to the course where everyone gets ready to help Jeremy win the big one. Finally, it’s time to go racing, and Jeremy rides a flawless race to take the first set of Stars and Stripes of his career. Everyone comes out to wish Jeremy well after the win, both at the race and when it’s time to go out and celebrate with all of his friends, family and competitors. Sit back, relax and enjoy the first National Championship of Jeremy’s career and the first National Championship on Behind THE Barriers!
