Twenty years ago, Azencross made history for Women’s cyclocross by hosting the first international Women’s race in Belgium.
On Friday, the race again made history when it hosted the Helen100 Trophy, the first-ever Junior Women’s race held in conjunction with a UCI cyclocross race.
The race, sponsored by Helen Wyman’s Helen100 project and The Fifth Floor, kicked off the day’s racing in Loenhout and featured a prize purse equal to the Junior Men’s race.
Top honors at the Helen100 Trophy went to Sofie Van Rooijen (Netherlands).
