On Day 2 of the 2018 Rochester Cyclocross UCI weekend, Day 1 winner Stephen Hyde (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) may have finished with a second-straight victory, but this one proved more difficult after a four-way battle for the lead that lasted late into the race.
Just as he did in Reno at the 2018 National Championships, Jeremy Powers (Fuji Pactimo SRAM) proved to be the last competitor in the way of another Hyde victory.
Kerry Werner (Kona Maxxis Shimano) continued his strong start with a third-place result, his fourth-straight podium finish this season. Werner’s finish made for an identical podium to last January’s Nationals. Gage Hecht (Alpha – Groove Subaru) finished fourth.
