VERONA, WISCONSIN — Logan Owen (Redline) continued his impressive string of consecutive junior cyclocross national championships with a dominant win at Badger Prairie Park. With today’s victory, Owen has eight straight victories, tying Katie Compton for the record (at least for one day).

Owen wasted no time in getting to the front of the course, battling with Curtis White (Hot Tubes) for the holeshot while behind them a large pile-up happened when riders slid out on the icy turn heading into the finish line. The two rode together briefly, but Owen overpowered White on the first climb and never looked back. White, off an impressive European campaign, was then joined by Peter Goguen (CF Racing p/b/ Trek Portsmouth), and the two dueled for the middle laps before White escaped him with two to go.

In the battle for the final podium spots, David Lombardo (Verdigris Village) held off the chasers for fourth, and Anders Nystrum (BYRDS) outsprinted Josey Weik (ISCORP Cycling) for fifth.
