The 2010 Verge New England Championship Series has been announced. The 2009 schedule saw the largest number of races since Adam Myerson of Cycle-Smart took over management 10 years ago, and left some of the riders feeling a bit stretched to get to all of the races. Myerson listened to feedback from the riders after the series ended and reduced the number of races in the 2010 series to allow everyone some flexibility in their calendars.

Myerson commented, “I want to ease that burden of having too many races for people to do all of them, and let the bigger races have the freedom to operate outside the Series. I also want to ease the burden on Verge, and on our staff. This frees up those bigger weekends, and my new race, to make their own arrangements in terms of schedule, sponsors, entry fees, and other details.”

Myerson would like to see the series grow in the future and some of the UCI races that have been part of the series in the past are likely to return at some point. The change in schedule is also meant to let the series better represent the region by spreading the races throughout New England.
