Tobin Ortenblad, named by race promoter Keith Defibre as “one of the very best technical riders in America,” has been invited to Geoff Proctor’s 2012 EuroCross Camp and the Surf City Cyclocross Series team is hosting a fund-raising raffle to help him make the trip. See the press release below:

Tobin Ortenblad, 2012 Cyclocross National Championship 17-18 silver medalist, has stepped it up as his first year as a U23 and earned a top five overall in the U.S. Gran Prix of Cyclocross Series and a place in Geoff Proctor’s Euro Cross Camp, but he and his family have to cover a significant portion of the travel costs to Belgium and camp fees, and as anyone can imagine, this opportunity of a lifetime is not cheap.

The goal of the Surf City Cyclocross crew is to raise $1000 to help cover those out-of-pocket costs. With your help, along with some great sponsors who love cyclocross as much as we do, we hope to meet that goal.  We’ve got a “progressive” raffle going with up to $1,500 in prizes, plus something special for those locals who have raced Surf City this year!

Tickets are only $5….enter as many times as you want. The raffle closes on Dec 21st.  Enter on bikereg: https://www.bikereg.com/Net/17872
