The fourth stop of the 2018 Telenet UCI World Cup series is this Saturday in Tabor, Czech Republic.

Tabor has a rich history as an important race venue. It hosted the 2001, 2010 and 2015 World Championships, eight World Cups between 2004 and 2013 and last year’s European Championships.

With a World Cup next Sunday at Koksijde, the race has drawn many more North American riders than the last stop in Bern.

The Elite Women’s race has six U.S. riders and one Canadian.

Katie Compton (KFC Racing p/b Trek Knight), Kaitie Keough (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld), Ellen Noble (Trek Factory Racing CX), Elle Anderson (Milwaukee – Alpha Motorhomes), Clara Honsinger (Team S&M CX) and Regina Legge (Trek Cyclocross Collective) are all set to start for the U.S. and newly-minted Canadian and Pan-Am champ Maghalie Rochette (CX Fever p/b Specialized) is starting a three-month stint in Europe on Saturday.

The big absence on the Elite Women’s start list is Marianne Vos (WaowDeals Pro Cycling). Vos is the current World Cup leader, but she has opted to take the week off before returning at Koksijde to start the second half of her full cyclocross season.

Vos currently leads the World Cup series by 68 points over Sanne Cant (IKO-Beobank), so with race leaders receiving 80 points, she will still very much be in the mix, if not the lead, in the overall series after Saturday.

There are no North American men racing in the Elite Men’s race.

World Cup Tabor kicks off the November block of EuroCrossCamp for young U.S. riders. Six U.S. Juniors are set to race. Magnus Sheffield (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld), Nick Carter (KCCX Elite Cycling Team), Alex Morton (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld), Jared Scott (Boulder Junior Cycling), Torin Bickmore (Boulder Junior Cycling) and Jules Van Kempen (Tri-Cyclists BRC) are all racing on Saturday.

Elite start lists are below.

Saturday’s Elite Women’s race starts at 7:30 a.m. EST and the Elite Men’s race is at 9:00 a.m. EST.
