Scott USA is recalling their Vanish Evo bike helmets. The bicycle helmets do not comply with the impact requirements of the CPSC safety standards for bicycle helmets.

The helmets have the brand name “SCOTT” printed on the outer shell of the helmet on the left side. For the Vanish Evo black and grey helmets, the lettering is black; for the Vanish Evo white and grey helmets, the lettering is white. About 1,450 helments were sold between July and December last year, with an MSRP at $200. Consumers are being told to not use the helmets and to return them to a Scott dealer for a refund of their purchase price.

Scott USA can be reached toll-free at (888) 607-8365 extension 2012 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. MT Monday through Friday. Or email [email protected], or scott-sports.com.

The following serial number ranges are included in this recall: 2014-06/009359 through 2014-09/027210. The serial number is printed on a white sticker inside the back of the helmet. For more detailed information, check the Vanish Evo file on the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
