The Jingle Cross weekend of Elite racing kicked off on Friday night at the Musco Elite Men’s race under the lights.
Just as in the exciting Elite Women’s race, the Elite Men’s race came down to a sprint, with young U23 Lander Loockx outsprinting the ageless Steve Chainel for the win.
Felipe Orts from Spain took third after a flat tire dropped him from the lead group.
