The Masters 65-69 Men followed the Masters Men’s 70+ race at the 2022 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships in Hartford, CT.
Scott Paisley, who took first at 2018 Reno Cyclocross Nationals Masters Men 60-64, took the 65-69 title, while last year’s Masters Men 65-69 winner, David Rustico, came in second. Marty Soetaert podiumed.
30 riders took the start, compared to 31 in 2017.

The race had some well-known cyclocross celebrities. Last year’s Masters Men 65-69 runner-up Robert Downs, finished in fourth place. Rivals and former champs Paul Curley and George Smith also attended the race with Smith in seventh and Curley in ninth. Curley spent seasons in Europe racing cyclocross
While fans weren’t treated to the Rock Lobster / Richard Sachs duel of years past (Sachs aged up), there still was a framebuilder title on the line. Spin Arts frame builder and course designer Tom Stevens got 20th followed by another legendary frame builder Paul Sadoff of Rock Lobster Cycles in 21st.
