Kerry Werner and Caroline Mani Take GoCross Day 1 – Full Results

ROANOKE, Virginia—The 2018/2019 U.S. UCI cyclocross season wrote its opening chapter today with Day 1 of the 2018 GoCross UCI cyclocross race weekend.

In the men’s race, Kerry Werner (Kona) outkicked Jack Kisseberth (Garneau-Easton P/B Transitions Lifecare) and Tobin Ortenblad (Donkey Label) to make the first deposit into his ProCX savings account.

In the women’s race, which capped the day’s racing, it was a Van Dessel one-two, with Caroline Mani trading time at the front with Sunny Gilbert. Mani would take the win ahead of Gilbert, with Crystal Anthony (Liv) rounding out the podium after a battle with Becca Fahringer (Kona).
