In what was her first victory since the British National Championships, Helen Wyman (Kona Factory) used her excellent bike handling and running skills to take the win at Flandriencross, the third round of the BPost Bank Trofee series in Hamme, Belgium.

American U23 phenoms Emma White (Cyclocrossworld.com) and Ellen Noble (JAM Fund/NCC/Vittoria) drove the pace of the race early, with White taking the holeshot, and Noble joining her shortly thereafter.

Wyman was able to capitalize on this early race pace-making, and establish a gap for herself. Never one to be discounted, Sanne Cant (Enertherm-BKCP) slowly but surely ate into Wyman’s advantage, until she experienced a mechanical issue. From there, the race was Wyman’s, who took the line solo for her victory.
