Following the groundbreaking Surf City CX partnership formed in 2019, and continues this month at the Halloween doubleheader, Nutty Cross is partnering up with Cyclocross Magazine for an amazing opportunity for anyone cyclocross or #shorttrackgravel curious.

First-time cyclocross racers can race for free at Nutty Cross. So don’t worry about the entry fee or being a newbie. Everyone will be racing for the first time at the new Nutty Cross race in November! See below for more information on signing up in the press release.

Boundless Locomotion is very excited to announce a lively venue for their inaugural Nutty Cross cyclocross race on November 20, 2022 in Dixon, CA at Ruhstaller Farm, just 68 miles from San Francisco and 20 miles from Sacramento.

The good folks at Ruhstaller have been supporters of the Flannel Grinder since the beginning and they’ve often toyed with the idea of doing an event at their farm. After a few meetings over some delicious beers to talk through some details, they’ve decided to go for a cyclocross race!

Nutty Cross is bringing cyclocross and first-timers to a new race in Dixon, CA

Racing: Exciting racing through the brewery, hopyard, and walnut orchard. Come early, stay late—it’s a cool place to hang out with the whole family.

Beer: Ruhstaller grows its own local hops and brews some of the best beer in the area with a wide selection of styles.

Music: They will have live music right by the finish line for all to enjoy.

Food: On a truck. Something delicious for you to purchase post-race and enjoy with your friends and family. Pairs well with beer.

Q: Wait a minute… since this is a Boundless event does that mean we have to wear flannels while we race?

A: No. Wear whatever you are most comfortable racing in! Spandex, tank tops, jean shorts, plaid shirts, or white tees with your cigarettes rolled up in the sleeve. The choice is yours, my friends.

About Ruhstaller:

The Farm and brewery are located at 6686 Sievers Road in Dixon off Pedrick Road and I-80. It’s just up the road from their 7.5-acre hopyard that you can see off the highway between Davis and Dixon. At the farm on Sievers they are 40 acres of hops, walnuts, sheep, citrus, dogs, sunsets & bonfires. Click here for some history if you are curious; it’s a pretty cool story.

“Kids, dogs & well-behaved adults welcome.”
