Stephen Hyde (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) and Gage Hecht (Alpha Bicycle – Grove Subaru)showed their Day 2 performance in Cincinnati was no fluke. The two resumed their duel in Louisville at the 2017 Derby City Cup, only this time they had more company with early US Cup-CX leader Tobin Ortenblad (Santa Cruz – Donkey Label) and second in the standings Kerry Werner (Kona)
Hyde once again escaped the second-year U23 Hecht late to take the win.
With their placings, Hyde wins the inaugural US Cup-CX series, and Werner takes second.
