It’s the offseason for ’cross, but it seems like no one has told our favorite pros that the offseason can mean kicking back and barbequing, or just taking some time off. Instead, they’re out racing road, MTB, or traveling around the country promoting bike advocacy or hosting clinics. Here, we’re looking at where a few of them are this week—we’re wrangling the news so you don’t have to. In Euro news, ’cross World Champ Marianne Vos is wearing the pink jersey in the Giro Rosa after the prologue and two road stages. The 10-day Elite Women’s stage race is arguably the biggest women’s race in the world, and we’re excited to see if she can hold on to the jersey. She’s been one to watch on the road and MTB this season—we saw her dominate Sea Otter’s MTB races back in April. https://twitter.com/marianne_vos/status/486223915438841857 Tim Johnson is showing off his skills by hosting clinics now that he finished his Ride on Chicago. Are you heading to Pennsylvania for MTB Nationals in two weeks? So is Georgia Gould, and she is in it to win it. Speaking of National titles, Todd Wells just took the win at Marathon Nationals, with fellow ’crosser Justin Lindine in sixth place. Cyclocrosser Amanda Nauman took seventh in the women’s race, after coming back from a tough crash at Sea Otter in the cross country race. https://twitter.com/JLindine/status/485630272486899712 And Sven Nys is busy in Belgium showing that he has MTB skills as well as ’cross ones—he recently took the win in the Crelan MTB Cup at St. Vith. It seems like the entire pro peloton for ’cross is watching the Tour de France every day—are you keeping track of the iconic road race, or are you saving your Sporza for cyclocross World Cup season in the fall? https://twitter.com/timjohnsoncx/status/485880514868699136
