Last we saw Eva Lechner (Clif Pro Team), she was racing the UCI XCO World Championships last weekend.
On Sunday, she jumped right into cyclocross before the U.S. World Cups and raced at Brico Cross Geraardsbergen/Eeklo. Her pre-World-Cup tune-up was a good one, as Lechner led an Italian 1-2 afternoon.
Lechner won the race, and fellow Italian Alice Maria Arzuffi (Steylaers-777) finished second. Young star Ceylin Del Carmen Alvarado (Corendon-Circus) rounded out the podium in third.
Defending world champion Sanne Cant (IKO-Beobank) finished fifth.
