Sunday’s 2013 UCI Cyclocross World Cup in Namur, Belgium (Namen) was a muddy, slippery, off-camber filled race that placed a premium not only on bike handling skills but also on decision making.

Watch Sven Nys, the 2013 World Champion, put on a display of the benefits and downsides of trying either approach, surging to second place with a timely dismount, and losing second place and a podium spot by attempting to ride the same section on a later lap.

Also see Compton overcome a slow start to climb past Vos and Harris to take another World Cup win.
