WTB Exposure 32C TCS Tubeless Tire

Just a few weeks ago, WTB announced its 32c new width option to its popular and versatile Exposure road tires. We landed a pair just shortly after, and the 32mm tubeless tire has quickly vaulted itself onto our list of smooth-tread favorites.

The tire has a lot going for it. It’s true to its listed width, measuring a tad bigger than 32mm on a 17.5mm internal width rim. It’s also tubeless, and if you can get it on your rim and properly seated, it enjoys the typical WTB airtight, burp-free and leak-free TCS bead. It’s a tight fit, but once it audibly snaps in place, you’re not faced with lots of curing time as we needed with other tubeless tires from Compass and Islabikes.

WTB doesn’t list the tpi of its casing, but the beauty of its tubeless options is you can run ’em low, not worry about pinching, and let the tire absorb the bumps. The side knobs are minimal on the 32c option, and the intermittent shoulder knob seen on the 34c model is missing, but the micro knobs boost confidence on dirt and gravel turns. Whether that’s a psychological or physical boost, we’re not sure, but they also add a bit of additional protection from side cuts—the hardest type of punctures to seal up.

Think you’ll be facing more dirt or gravel than pavement? Opt for the 34c Exposure model with more volume and more pronounced side knobs.
