In the spirit of the holiday season, we’re going all the way back to the beginning of the month and this year’s Jingle Cross for Throwback Thursday.

The Saturday edition of the Elite Men’s race saw Powers (Aspire Racing) pushed to the limit by Logan Owen (California Giant/Specialized) and Stephen Hyde (Cannonade p/b Cyclocrossworld.com). In the end, Powers had enough to fend of the attacks and take the second day of the event that may well be a World Cup race next year.

For the Elite Women, Katerina Nash (Luna Pro Team) stormed away and soloed in for a win ahead of Caroline Mani (Raliegh Clement) and Katie Compton (Trek Factory Racing).

Time will tell if Jingle Cross is a World Cup race for the 2016/17 season. In the meantime, enjoy this brief look at this year’s race.

The video was posted to Vimeo by Keith Walberg, who invited viewers to, “[s]ee and listen to the beauty and frenzy that is cyclocross racing,” and noted that “[m]usic track is ‘One’ by Apocalyptica.”
