North American cyclocrossers get their last tune-up before next weekend’s Pan-American Championships this weekend at the annual Cincinnati Cyclocross weekend. This year’s edition of the race features a couple of twists.

Several years ago, the Cincinnati weekend featured three races at three different venues. Devou Park in Kentucky, Harbin Park in Ohio and Kingswood Park in Ohio. The last few years, the race contracted to just two events at Devou and Harbin.

In 2018, Kings is back. Both days of the race will take place at Kingswood Park, consolidating the race to one venue and cutting down on the work teams had to do to move between different venues on one weekend.

The C1 designation for Saturday’s race returns, bringing a C1-caliber field to the Cincinnati area.

The biggest news is the return of a number of racers who have been out due to injury. Courtenay McFadden (Pivot Cycles/Maxxis p/b Stan’s/DNA Cycling) returns after suffering a leg injury prior to the World Cup Waterloo weekend.

A number of men are back as well. Stephen Hyde (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) is set to make his first start since breaking his sternum at World Cup Waterloo. Drew Dillman (SDG – Muscle Monster) also returns after breaking his hand in Waterloo.

Jeremy Powers (Pactimo Fuji SRAM) and Spencer Petrov (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) raced at the Gran Prix of Gloucester after missing time and both are hoping to be closer to full strength this weekend.

Start lists for Cincinnati are below. The C1 takes place on Saturday, and then Sunday’s race will be a C2.
