Last weekend featured snowy, muddy races in North Carolina and at Druivencross and a hot, dusty race at the Resolution Cross Cup in Texas. We caught wind of some other impressive finishes by familiar names we wanted to share in our latest Rumors and Rumblings roundup.

Elle Anderson Gets First European Win in Spain

While other riders were slipping and sliding around the Vlaamse Druivencross course, Elle Anderson (Cycling.be – Alphamotorhomes Ladies) headed to the Igorre, Spain UCI C2 race. Her reward for the trip to Basque Country was her first career European win on Sunday.

Her other reward, if you scroll through the photos, is a pretty sweet podium hat.

If you missed seeing Anderson race in Belgium over the weekend, a replay of her win in Spain is available on YouTube.

Gage Hecht Wins Colorado State Championship, Young Women Star in Elite Race

Fresh off two podiums at the Ruts N’ Guts weekend, U23 Pan-American Champion Gage Hecht (Alpha Bicycle – Groove Subaru) opted to stay close to home before heading over to Europe for the December block of EuroCrossCamp.

The Colorado State Championships have gotten a rep for attracting impressive Elite fields, and Sunday’s race was no different. Hecht topped an impressive field that included his teammate Brannan Fix (Alpha Bicycle – Groove Subaru), Allen Krughoff (Allen Krughoff Racing), Jake Wells, Ross Ellwood (Boulder Cycle Sport) and Maxx Chance (Evol Racing), among others.

#sscxwcita Video

Videos from this year’s Singlespeed World Championships in Verona, Italy have, to this point, been tougher to find than in year’s past. We used our crack Google-Fu to find this one from Martino Vincenzi. It captures some live action of the scene Francesco Bartoli Avveduti brought us earlier this week in his photo gallery from #sscxwcita.
