When you hit the start line with the rainbow stripes, it puts a little extra pressure on you to win.
If Laura Van Gilder (Van Dessel Factory Team) was feeling pressure in the Women’s Masters 55-59 race, she certainly didn’t show it. Van Gilder got an early lead and cruised to a Stars-and-Stripes jersey on Thursday morning.
Lori LeClair Cooke (Sea Sports Cyclery and Outdoor) took second and Gerry Schulze (Team Hungry) got the bronze.
