Moosecross Joins the Cyclocross Festival Trend

A permanent urban cyclocross course, a two-day cyclocross festival, and a ‘cross movie night at a historic city theatre? No, this isn’t Boulder, Providence or Portland. It’s Victor, Idaho.  And the biggest kicker? Travel from afar to the race? You’re guaranteed prize money and may get host housing! What UCI race offers that? Press release below.

The 2nd Annual MooseCross festival is taking place in Victor, Idaho (neighbor to Jackson, WY) on October 17th and 18th.  Our event features two days of racing on our permanent cross course in our city park.  Saturday night we have rented out the old theater and will show footage from that days race and a cyclocross movie.  Come watch yourself on the big screen Saturday night with a slice of pizza and a cold beer.  Crazed cyclocross announcers, cowbell equipped fanatic fans, and we are even printing up custom course marking tape! It will be like you are racing in Europe.

Host housing is available and we are offering a travel discount – Travel from over 100 miles away and receive $5 back at registration.

MooseCross is run under our non-profit Victor Velo.  We do not profit from this event.  Our goal is to make cross racing fun, accessible, and affordable .  All proceeds go back into putting on more cross races and promoting bike activities in Victor.
