2014 is the year of new teams. With news of Meredith Miller and Allen Krughoff’s jointly owned Noosa Cyclocross Team, Cody Kaiser partnering up with the LangeTwins Vineyard, Zach McDonald teaming up with KCCX, and Jeremy Powers’s Aspire Team, it appears that teams are popping up on a weekly basis. But this latest team has something the others don’t: wedding vows.

Jeremy and Gabby Durrin placed an exclamation point on their marriage one year after it began. The two have joined forces on the course as well as off now that they’ve launch their Neon Velo Cycling Team. Their title sponsor, Neon Velo, is a British boutique cycling brand that clearly wants to make an impression on New England and worldwide cyclocross audiences.

Gabby Durrin is a familiar face in the World Cup scene and World Championship Races, representing Great Britain. Last Year, she was dominant in the World Cups, wearing the team colors of Rapha-Focus and finishing in the top 15 week after week.

“Partnering with Neon Velo as our title sponsor is something I am really excited about,” Gabby writes. “Being a British rider, it seems only natural to have the backing of a British company. We also love the idea of having representation in both the UK and US, as it means that both Jeremy and I can give maximum exposure to our sponsors. Having the development team already established in the UK enables us both to have support at the races in the UK and Europe.”

Jeremy Durrin is a rising star in cyclocross, moving from the JAM Fund to Optum Pro Cycling last year and taking another UCI win at Baystate for the second year in a row. His presence is felt at most races as he commonly finishes in the top ten, including two impressive top tens at both days of the Providence Cyclocross Festival and a second place behind Tim Johnson at the Supercross Cup near New York City.

“This new program is exciting,” Jeremy said. “Having the backing of Neon Velo and the support of all of the other sponsors has shown Gabby and I that these people believe in us and think we can do great things for the sport. Running our own program is new for us, but we are confident and very enthusiastic about this challenge. We are very much looking forward to representing our sponsors this season, racing hard and standing on the podium! We are excited and very proud of what has come together.”

The sponsor line up complementing Neon Velo include Trek bikes, Castelli, Giro helmets and shoes, Oakley sunglasses, SRAM components, Easton wheels, bars and stems, Crank Brothers pedals, Fizik saddles, Challenge tires, Pedros tools and bike maintenance, Skratch hydration, Bearded Bros energy bars, Grimpeur Bros coffee and Graphic Innovations.
