While racers in the US have been bemoaning the lack of true cyclocross conditions most weekends, particularly in the New England area, which has yet to see a truly muddy race this season, it was snowy skies for the Canadians last weekend as the provinces began to host their versions of state championship races. In Quebec, racers faced snow and greasy mud as well as some serious run ups and barriers that even Raphael Gagne couldn’t manage to hop.

As you watch the video, you might notice some familiar faces, including Jeremy Martin, who raced for Canada in China in September, the women’s winner, Maghalie Rochette, and the men’s winner, Raphael Gagne. Both have been racing quite a bit in the States this season, and their results have been stellar.
