LIGNIERES-EN-BERRY, France—It was a Belgian one-two punch in France this morning as U23 star Eli Iserbyt and his Belgian compatriot Quinten Hermans who took first and second in the second to last World Cup race of the season. Rounding out the podium was The Netherlands’ Joris Nieuwenhuis.

Nineteen seconds separated the podium finishers with the gold and silver medalists countryman Daan Hoeyberghs leading home the rest of the best in 48:46.

Like in the Junior Men’s race, there were no American’s in the U23 Men’s event. Christopher Aiken from Australia finished in 34th.

The Men’s U23 field has one more World Cup event in Hoogherheide next week before the World Championships in Zolder at the end of the month.
