The 2017 Cyclocross World Championship course in Bieles, Luxembourg has plenty of off-cambers, and some are snow and ice-free:

However, the trickiest one, the one that we’ve seen videos of all week, looks like it could use some hot sauce to thaw out the icy surface.

Thankfully, Hot Sauce Cycling’s Mark McConnell and Michael van den Ham (Garneau – Easton Cycling) were on course yesterday to scope out where exactly the sauce was needed.

Unfortunately, judging by the crashes, what’s also needed is an on-site vending machine for derailleur hangers and rear derailleurs.

Watch National Champions Katerina Nash, Jeremy Martin and Stephen Hyde among others give the section a go.

Hyde’s slide doesn’t look all that different than his hanger-tearing crash at Nationals.
