World Cup Koksijde takes place in Belgium this weekend, but cyclocross racers in NorCal got their own opportunity to head to the beach last weekend at the Sacramento Cyclocross race at Granite Beach.

Located along the west shore of Lake Folsom, north of Sacramento, Granite Beach featured sand dunes, some climbing and that rarest of NorCal cyclocross occurrences—wet ground.
