It is official, the date has been finalized for the 2009 BC Cyclocross Championships! Sunday November 29th, Mahon Park, North Vancouver… A brand new course located in the heart of North Vancouver. Course highlights include 400m gravel track, a covered stadium for all your family and friends, fast paved paths, a natural wooden staircase run up, plenty of off camber corners and of course the traditional tour thru, in and around  some of BC’s biggest trees… The course suits riders of all ability levels and will provide a track worthy of a Provincial Champion.

With a province that boasts Canada’s top three National Champions in Elite men and women as well as U23, not to mention a two-time World Singlespeed Champion, racing action should be a thrill to watch. With a race location in the back yard of some of Canada’s best cyclists , keep an eye out for some unusual cyclo-cross suspects pinning on their race numbers on race day… Will Dre come out and strut his stuff? Will Pinner find love again on the dirt? Sydor lives only a few KM’s away and the boys from the Island are all riding strong…

Online registration will be open starting Thursday (Nov. 12th). Race fee’s will be $25 pre-reg and $30 day of. The final schedule is still being set as far as start times and categories. Check out www.bccyclocrosschamps.blogspot.com for frequently updated information leading up to race day or consult the Cycling BC page (www.cyclingbc.net) for information regarding categories and the BC Cyclo-cross Cup.
