2022 Cross Infestation will close out the five-race, six-day Bay Area Super Prestige series. The event moves from last year’s Stafford Lake Park to Coyote Point Park, San Mateo.

Coyote Point Park, one of NorCal’s premier cyclocross courses, is back this December 4. Home to dozens of high-excitement races over the decades, this year’s Bicycle Law Cross Infestation, Presented by Team Roaring Mouse, is set to raise the standard even higher.

Purse

Cash prizes of at least $1,000 should attract top talent to the race, as should the announcement that current National Champion Clara Honsinger will toe the start line as prep for Nationals.

Honsinger adds her name to a list of cyclocross stars who have traveled to race at the venue, including Thomas Frischknecht, Ryan Trebon, and Todd Wells.

Course

Set on a rocky promontory on San Francisco Bay, the race offers two stiff climbing challenges each lap, as well as a picturesque but painful beach run. There are long sections of grass and woodlands, as well as extended straights on the pavement. Since recent improvements to the park, the spectating options are greater than ever, with clear lines of sight and lots of great spots to take in the race.
