Dutch cyclocross star and current World Champ Lucinda Brand will keep the UEC Continental Cyclocross Championship jersey hidden at least until Fayetteville Worlds.

After a chaotic first lap of racing, with Kata Blanka Vas leading, Brand skipped a bike change and left everyone wishing they did the same.

Hungary’s Vas and the Netherland’s Yara Kastelijn were locked in a battle for second, while defending UEC champ Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado joined the two and made it a three-woman race for the final two podium steps.

Alvarado faded late, while Vas surged on the last lap to take silver with Kastelijn making it two Dutch on the podium.
