Over the years, we’ve brought you videos highlights and photo galleries from Geoff Proctor’s Junior and U23 development-oriented MontanaCrossCamp, including Sam Erickson’s great mini movie of the 2016 camp. The camp has played a big role in developing and providing a pre-season foundation for the country’s top young male cyclocross racers.

Now for 2017, the camp has its sights set even higher. For the first year ever, the Proctor’s MontanCrossCamp is hosting a U23 women’s block, giving women cyclocross racers from the ages of 17 to 22 a chance to practice, train and learn from top coaches and athletes, including cyclocross pro and guest coach Kaitie Antonneau.

The women’s camp is from July 10-15, while the men’s camp returns for its seventh year and will be held in Helena from July 24-29 and is open to Junior Men ages 15-22.  Coach Chris McGovern will coach the men’s session with Proctor, while former U23 National Champion Tobin Ortenblad is expected to attend as a guest athlete/mentor for the second year in a row.

While it looks like the application deadline may have already passed earlier this week, interested athletes who have not already applied might try contacting Proctor to see if there’s still room. Update: Women’s camp application deadine extended to Friday, May 12, 2017.
