SUN VALLEY, IDAHO – Crosstoberfest, presented by SCOTT Sports, went off this past weekend in Hailey, ID. The event is located nearby SCOTT’s US headquarters and blends a Cyclocross race with a Beer Festival for an experience not soon forgotten. The event attracted some 120 racers took to the course in Old Cutters Park racing for a $5000 cash purse while specators enjoyed the 100 craft beers and grub. Billy Olson, the event organizer said, “It couldn’t have gone any better. We brought the real European spirit of Cyclocross right here to Idaho.”

“Cyclocross is America’s fastest growing cycle-sport, and SCOTT intends to ride that wave,” said Adrian Montgomery. “It’s not just the racing element that is attractive, it’s also the other purposes you can use these bikes for like off-highway or “gravel” riding. Plus these events are a good time for spectators and really make for a festive environment.”
