Katie Compton (Trek Cyclocross Collective) won yet another UCI Cyclocross World Cup, this time in Tabor, Czech Republic, taking the leader’s jersey in the process. Although the Valkenburg World Cup round one winner Marianne Vos was not present, Compton’s win demonstrates that the 2012/2013 World Cup overall winner has overcome her early season illness and is back to her World Cup-winning ways.

The win certainly didn’t come easy for Compton, as the nine-time US National Champion was chased closely by the Telenet Fidea duo of Brit Nikki Harris and local girl Pavla Halikova in an exciting last lap of the race.
