If you were watching the video we posted in yesterday's Rumors & Rumblings you may have noticed that World Champion Wout van Aert was riding what appeared to be a new Colnago cyclocross offering. If you missed it, take a look again:

Members of our pit crew spotted the bike back at the World Championships in Zolder. It was under Niels Albert rather than van Aert, and it was not in the race, but in the start/finish area.

What we can see from the bike is that the Colnago's trademark shoulder-friendly top tube and seat tube brace, which we've questioned the usefulness of before, is gone. The chainstays are curved upward on this disc model while the seatstays wrap around the seattube before joining with the toptube. The cable routing is fully internal, even through the fork for the front brake. We can't tell if the rear end is thru axle, although the front fork appears to be.

It also happens to be similar in color to another Belgian's bike, one Sven Nys.

Take a look at the few images we have of the bike, below, and stay tuned for more news on this likely new race bike from Colnago.
