Cyclocross mudders certainly have their downsides—Hours spent cleaning bikes, new brake pads, clogging the washer drain at home.

Muddy conditions also bring challenging racing conditions, compelling racing and of course, dope photography.

Photographer Dave Mable is back with a gallery that looks at the human side of World Cup Waterloo in his latest “Faces of…” offering. If you have missed previous editions, you can also check out his series offerings from Reno Nationals and last week’s Jingle Cross weekend.

This edition from Waterloo starts with a little fun at Saturday night’s Legends Race that featured Tim Johnson, Cam McCaul, the Cow, Gary Fisher and Sven Nys doing tricks, and then hits the main show at Sunday’s muddy World Cup Waterloo.

You can have a look below, and as always, give Mable a follow on Instagram at @dmable122.
