Phillip Bannister (Putney/West Hill) took a decisive win in the Masters 65-69 category at the 2015 Cyclocross Nationals, crossing the line solo after distancing himself from a group of four riders that had previously remained with him at the front of the race. 10-speed Shimano Dura-Ace 7900 levers provide the control center and are matched accordingly to Dura-Ace derailleurs. Bannister says he uses the discontinued low friction Gore Ride-On cable system to have better shifting with the sharp housing bends of the 7900 shift levers.
